Almost Friday!

Normally I save my “coffee” inspired posts for Monday, but this has been a tiring week. Why are some days so darn hard to get out of bed?? Life, I guess. Not that anything bad has happened, work and kids are doing well. Je ne sais pas. I’m going to get my 2nd cup of coffee now. Have a great day everyone πŸ™‚

Huh?

I have never seen a bike like this before, which is why I took a picture, haha. I rarely shop at Walmart, but every time I do, I see interesting things. My son was looking for a display port (tech stuff), but I had to stop and look at this bike. Not a bad price, I guess. I think you would need to be quite strong to ride the bike though, it’s a bit heavy. Something for everybody πŸ™‚

Happy Valentine’s Day

wpid-2015-02-14_11.02.08.jpg

Hand made cake pop in the first picture. Made by one of the parents at my school. She makes the most amazing cake pops, just for fun πŸ™‚
The floral creation in the middle was made by another parent, and friend. She said it’s a Martha Stuart recipe, amazing! (apple pie)
The cupcakes were made by a local bakery.
Have a beautiful and lovely day!

What you will need:

Spaghetti-16 oz box/package
Basil-fresh, chopped, 1/2 cup
Garlic-crushed, 1/2 teaspoon
Butter-1 stick (1/2 cup)
Myzithra cheese-grated, 4 oz

Cook one 16 oz. package of spaghetti, follow directions on box. Β  Drain, put back in pot, set aside.

To brown the butter and add cheese takes only about 5 minutes. Β In a white frying pan place 1 stick (or half a cup) of butter. Don’t use margarine or butter substitutes. Keep heat on medium heat, stirring constantly. It takes only a couple of minutes, you will start to see the butter turn brown. Once a medium brown, take off heat. Add 1/2 teaspoon crushed garlic, and 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil, pour over pasta. Stir, mix thoroughly. Last step, pour all 4 oz of cheese into pot, toss pasta. Serve and enjoy!

A nice soft roll or French bread would be nice with this. I would also serve a fresh vegetable on the side. πŸ™‚

Day Dreaming About Dobby

wpid-20150204_134211.jpg
Yes, I admit it, I took these pictures sitting at my desk at work. I often stop and day dream.

I bought these at the 9 3/4 store at San Pancras station, London. There was no way I was going to pass on these beauties!
Dobby is delightful, even cast in metal. Dobby will always be alive in our hearts πŸ™‚
