I come home from work to find my mother holding this yellow onion with a face! My daughter, 21 years old, says “grandma, why does that onion have a face?” My mom said “Oh, well, I drew the face because the onion reminds me of a boy I went to school with who I called Onion Head.” Hahaha, OMG! Ok, so the boy never knew he had a knick-name of Onion Head, but he must have left a big impression on my mom!
Fortunately or unfortunately I inherited my mom’s strange sense of humor, which is why I took a picture and posting it on my blog.:-)
This is not the first time I’ve found my mother drawing faces on food! Haha!
This has never happened to me before! Turn the lights on when you are looking for toothpaste early in the morning, especially if you haven’t had your coffee yet!! Yes, I used “Itch” cream instead of toothpaste! Not pleasant, haha. If you ever have tooth pain, this cream can really numb your whole mouth, hahaha! Just kidding, please don’t do that
Yuck! I hated the set up of my closet. It hasn’t been working for me for years, but finally I decided to spend the weekend re-doing it.
We had to pull everything out of the closet-everything.
Lots of time, but only cost about $50.00 The paint ate up most of that budget. A couple shelving supports and an additional dowel.
I don’t have a “honey-do” list, but I do have a “daddy-do” list, haha! My dad is always so eager to help me with my crazy projects that I have going on!
Total time spent, about 10 hours.
I LOVE this piece that I did last year. 6 x 6 on wood. Using acrylic paint, with a high gloss finish. Signed on the back with a hook to hang it up. I have titled this one “New Life”. I spent about 10 hours on this piece. It’s definitely a one of a kind 🙂
Check it out! Starting bid at only $20 🙂 3 days left on auction.
Thanks for looking!
Normally I save my “coffee” inspired posts for Monday, but this has been a tiring week. Why are some days so darn hard to get out of bed?? Life, I guess. Not that anything bad has happened, work and kids are doing well. Je ne sais pas. I’m going to get my 2nd cup of coffee now. Have a great day everyone 🙂
Sure, this is a funny picture. That is my son Johnny, pinching my sisters boyfriend’s nose, haha! Johnny is special needs and often does silly things like this. He loves everyone, hence him sitting on Bryan’s lap. This convinces me that I will find a partner who can embrace my son the same way Bryan does. I won’t settle for a man that simply “tolerates” Johnny. I want a partner that accepts, interacts and embraces Johnny. I have to believe that there is someone out there for us 🙂
