That Tat!

There was a young woman was sitting in front of me on a roller coaster ride at Disneyland. I had a good view of her right arm, and I couldn’t help notice her really cool tattoo! As an artist, I totally appreciate the design and creativity of this tattoo, it’s stunning! She was nice enough to let me blog it!

Healthier Food Choices at Disney Parks

I very rarely eat “fast food”. Sometimes when I travel I eat foods that I’m not use to, then I don’t feel so great. You know what I mean. You get that heavy, bloated feeling. It’s easy to find the fun stuff like pizza, churros or popcorn (see my upcoming post about that! LoL), but it’s not as fun as it use to be. I usually bring some food with me when I travel. Such as trail mix, instant oatmeal, protein bars, etc, but those aren’t meals. I like to have a least one real meal per day. When I took my niece to Disneyland a few weeks ago, she really liked to have 3 meals a day, LoL! I don’t like to eat that much, but this trip was about her, so we ate 3 square meals every day.

Look at this beautiful salad! That was my dinner. Complete with craisons, nuts and golden California raisins, my tummy was so happy! The dressing was a simple vinaigrette. Jessica chose a pesto and cheese filled ravioli, topped with pine nuts, tomatoes and a bit of Parmesan! Of course I had to try one πŸ˜‰ I stay away from pastas and cheeses, but this was a relatively “healthier” alternative to say, nacho’s or something.

You may have to search a bit to find healthier types of food, but it’s out there πŸ™‚

I will be blogging a few things from my recent trip down south to Disneyland. These candied apples are works of art! You can watch them being made, truly amazing. And the taste? Crisp green apple with a variety of chocolates. The mouse ears are made out of marshmallow. I bought a Minnie Mouse and the “Apple Pie” apples. I think for under $10.00, these are well worth the price.

I have been coming to Disneyland since I was 3 years old. It’s a one hour flight, I’m lucky to so close πŸ™‚

It’s difficult taking a disabled child to Disneyland, especially since they still make you wait in line, regardless of the fact that my son is cognitive disabled (retarded). Really, you think you are going to cut in line in front of me and my son!?! Mistake number one!!! I probably fought off close to 10 people cutting in front of me, at the airport too. DO NOT MESS WITH THIS MOTHER BEAR!! I promise you, you will regret it. What is wrong with people?

I didn’t want Johnny to catch wind of any problems. My parents and I stayed happy and smiling regardless. Of course there’s the exception, we met a couple of very compassionate individuals and several nice families.

Overall, it’s been a great trip. Everyone, especially children, should experience Disney at least once! Paris, Orlando, Tokyo, Hong Kong…..do it! If you have any Disney questions, I am very happy to answer!!

Flying home tomorrow morning. I promise to get back to my regular postings tomorrow evening πŸ™‚
