Having fun with camera filters!

My daughter introduced me to a camera filter app for my phone last week. So, of course I found 8 more filters that I like, and am now having way too much fun! This picture was produced using the CandyCam app. Check it out, it’s so fun 🙂

Hospital Volunteering

I can’t wait to start volunteering! It’s been such a long process. Blood testing, shots, background check, 2 orientations, quiz’s, essay’s. I finally got my “uniform”! On the 15th I will meet with my supervisor and pick out a department to work in. I am a “non compensated” employee, hahahaha. That’s a very nice way of saying “volunteer”. I’m hoping to work in the Emergency Department. I have one years previous experience at a different hospital, where I worked in Labor/Delivery, Pediatrics, and Post Postpartum. I am prepared to see unpleasant, sad and depressing things-it’s part of being in that environment. I’ve been through a lot in life and have so much understanding for people in pain (physical and emotional). If I can help someone by getting them a warm blanket, water, ice-chips, finding their nurse for them, or holding their hand-I consider that an honor. Of course there will be patients that won’t act appreciative, and that’s ok. I will take the good with the bad!!

Where’s my Mummy?

So easy, So cute! When my 19 & 17 year olds were small children, I tried to make every meal fun in some sort of a way. This would have been a great addition to my repertoire! I’m going to make these and serve them to my dad! Hahahaha. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
•6 Ball Park® Beef Hot Dogs
•1 crescent roll dough

Johnny at Disneyland

035

042

I have been coming to Disneyland since I was 3 years old. It’s a one hour flight, I’m lucky to so close 🙂

It’s difficult taking a disabled child to Disneyland, especially since they still make you wait in line, regardless of the fact that my son is cognitive disabled (retarded). Really, you think you are going to cut in line in front of me and my son!?! Mistake number one!!! I probably fought off close to 10 people cutting in front of me, at the airport too. DO NOT MESS WITH THIS MOTHER BEAR!! I promise you, you will regret it. What is wrong with people?

I didn’t want Johnny to catch wind of any problems. My parents and I stayed happy and smiling regardless. Of course there’s the exception, we met a couple of very compassionate individuals and several nice families.

Overall, it’s been a great trip. Everyone, especially children, should experience Disney at least once! Paris, Orlando, Tokyo, Hong Kong…..do it! If you have any Disney questions, I am very happy to answer!!

Flying home tomorrow morning. I promise to get back to my regular postings tomorrow evening 🙂
