•Ingredients for the meatballs
•500g (1lb 2oz) minced beef or pork, or lamb
•1 medium onion, grated or finely chopped
•1 red chili, deseeded and finely chopped (I just used red capsicum, use your favorite chili)
•2 teaspoons grated stem (fresh) ginger
•3-4 cloves garlic, crushed
•2 tablespoons fresh cilantro (coriander) finely chopped
•1 teaspoon garam masala
•¼ teaspoon salt or to taste
•½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper or to taste
•50g (1⅓ cups, 2oz) fresh white breadcrumbs ( I placed 1½ medium slices of bread in a chopper)
•1 small egg lightly beaten
•1 tablespoon olive oil
